Maharold Peoples, Jr., also known as MP2, is one of the undiscovered treasures of Christian music. With nearly 40 years in the gospel music industry, Maharold is one of Christian music’s most iconic songwriter producers.
In music circles across the U.S. especially New York City, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, Maharold has established a solid reputation as an iconic, trailblazing and prolific songwriter, recording artist and choir director who has performed alongside such artists as Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Maurette Brown Clark, Dr. Bobby Jones, Rev. John P. Kee & the New Life Community Choir, Donnie McClurkin, Dorothy Norwood, Dottie Peoples, Hezekiah Walker & the Love Fellowship Crusade, as well as one of his mentors, the late Rev. Timothy Wright.
Maharold has ministered for a myriad of concerts, conventions, conferences and community events around the country; to include the presidential campaign of former President Barack Obama and the CIA Black History Programs, sponsored by BIG (Blacks in Government).
Maharold has written and produced for Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award nominated recording artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis’s latest project released on the Gospo-Fella Entertainment label titled, “Dear God. It’s Me!” Maharold produced, wrote, and arranged the Grammy nominated song “Rhythm in You” on that project.
